Update – transition to ONRSR

On 24 July 2015, the PSA wrote to the Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR) to request full details of the transition proposal for staff.

Sue McCarrey, the CEO of ONRSR, responded but did not provide any further information about ONRSR’s proposal because it has not yet been finalised.

The PSA has clearly stated our members’ preference to retain a copied Award when they move over to ONRSR, however our attempts to negotiate with ONRSR are hampered by the absence of a definite proposal from ONRSR.

In the circumstances, both parties have agreed to suspend negotiations until a proposal has been formulated by ONRSR.

In her most recent email to you, Sue McCarrey advised she is meeting with key people from the NSW Government to discuss the transition. The PSA wants to ensure ONRSR does not structure the transfer from ITSR in such a way that avoids or minimises the protections that you have under the Fair Work Act. The PSA will closely monitor these developments and will let you know when further information is available.

PSA Members Information Session

A PSA Members Information Session is scheduled for 1 pm on Monday 31 August 2015 in the level 21 conference room.
