NSW Police Criminal Records meeting notice – July 2017 (PDF vesion)

The PSA enjoyed the opportunity to present at the Criminal Records staff meeting in June and will be following up with a visit in your lunchroom as follows:

Friday 21 July

12.00pm-2.00pm

Criminal Records Lunchroom (PHQ)

As time was reasonably limited after the staff meeting, we hope this gives everybody a chance to speak with us about any matter they would like to raise and to find out more about the benefits that come with PSA membership, including:

  • Representation on individual workplace matters
  • Representation on collective industrial relations matters, including submissions that have been successful in gaining pay rises for Public Servants year on year, most recently at 2.5 per cent
  • Journey Insurance to cover wages of members injured while travelling to or from work
  • Personal Accident Insurance to cover permanent disability or death resulting from an accident
  • Provident Fund – immediate payment of $3500 to nominated beneficiary in the event of a member’s death
  • Union Shopper access giving discounts on a wide range of gift cards, entertainment, activities, whitegoods, electronics, and more for union members
  • Sydney Credit Union (SCU) access giving discounted banking to union members.

We will also answer any questions about the Re-Engineering Process in NSW Police and explain the PSA’s role in consultation as Re-Engineering progresses. Any matters raised will be treated with strict confidentiality.

Whilst we can give general advice to non-members, we cannot represent them industrially. Membership forms will be available for those wishing to join on the day.

It’s time to join your colleagues and get involved in defending your rights and conditions at work – strong membership means a strong union!
