NSW Police – Re-Engineering update – 28 Sept 2017 (PDF version)

The PSA met with NSW Police on Wednesday, 28 September 2017 to discuss Re-Engineering.

At this stage, the PSA has not been provided with details of specific proposed structural changes that affect our members.

NSW Police continue to commit to consultation when proposals are announced.

Deputy Commissioner Loy has arranged to meet the Acting PSA General Secretary, Troy Wright, on Tuesday, 3 October 2017.

The PSA will advise members of any developments after this meeting.

The PSA is extremely concerned about the lack of information in relation to any proposed changes and wrote to Minister Troy Grant last week demanding details of the restructure.  The Minister has not responded.

You can read the PSA’s media release HERE.

The PSA opposes job cuts for our members and will continue to fight to protect members’ interests.

The PSA has been provided with a Draft Placement Strategy by NSW Police and has asked for amendments.

The PSA also met with NSW Police HR to discuss change management processes. It is anticipated that there will be an agreed Placement Strategy for members shortly.  The PSA will advise members when the Placement Strategy is finalised.
