Police band bulletin – May 2016 (PDF version)

Updating and improving your Award

We are very pleased to advise we have given the NSW Police Force (NSWPF) a list of changes you want to see to your working conditions under your Award. This is called a ‘log of claims’, and you can read it HERE.

The log of claims – PSA members working together

This is the culmination of a long process of engagement with our members in the Police Band through the bargaining team. The team worked hard in talking to you, understanding your current Award, and putting together a list of improvements into the log of claims.

The log of claims better recognises your skills and needs as professional musicians and better accommodates the work you do. It is a sensible and practical way forward for Police Band members and the NSWPF, and should provide the foundation for putting together a workable Award for many years to come.

What next?

NSWPF now need to respond to our claims before commencing negotiations. We will continue to consult with our members as the negotiations progress.

If you have any questions or feedback, please contact any member of the bargaining team:
