The Baird Government is undertaking a mass privatisation by stealth, with details on how they will affect the people of NSW shrouded in secrecy.
Members across Family and Community Services know how hard it is fighting cruel and sneaky privatisations, such as the failed privatisation of Out of Home Care, the sell-off of prime public housing stock and the complete dismantling of disability services.
These sell-offs impact the most vulnerable people in our communities as well as the hard-working public servants who develop, support and deliver these services.
But there is hope; we can win if we stick together.
Now is the time to join with your colleagues from FACS and with other PSA members facing privatisation to make a stand against privatisation. We must Stop the Secret Sell Off!

The PSA is encouraging all members to attend a protest on Wednesday, 21 September to call on the NSW Government to Stop the Secret Sell Off!
The PSA will have guest speakers from across the union addressing the crowd and calling on the NSW Government to Stop the Secret Sell Off!

The PSA has also set up an online petition calling on the NSW Government to:
- protect our valuable public services from privatisation; and
- introduce “follow the money” laws for financial scrutiny and accountability.
