Sheriff’s Officers – Cease Direction Transport and storage of appointments

Sheriff’s Officers – Cease Direction Transport and storage of appointments – March 2018 (PDF version)

Your PSA issued the Direction transport and storage of appointments on Monday, 26 March 2018 at 2.05pm.

The direction has been lifted by the PSA. It is based on discussions between the PSA and the Sheriff of NSW on Tuesday, 27 March 2018. That lifting is conditional. The Sheriff gave a commitment appointments will be issued and stored at court houses where they are needed.

The PSA provided the Sheriff the Court Houses identified by 30 members to date requiring appointments to be deployed and to be stored. The PSA will provide the Sheriff further Court Houses identified by members in the survey each day until the survey closes on Friday, 6 April 2018.

Given the Sheriff’s commitment, the PSA is directing members to cease the Transport and Storage of Appointments direction.

For members who responded to the survey and if appointments have not been deployed at identified Court Houses within a reasonable time, contact your delegate, who will advise the PSA. The PSA will follow up with the Sheriff.
