Your union met with management on 13 August 2019 for a Joint Consultative Committee.
At the meeting, the following matters were discussed:
PDP
The Bell Curve and the Executive Calibration are no longer being used. Further, if the PDP has not been updated by the end of the allocated timeframe it will default to ‘Meets Expectations’.
Contingent labour
PSA sought confirmation that the Department is compliant with the Audit Office’s report on contingent labour. Management will come back in writing in relation to this.
Redundancies outside restructures
Management identified there may be some minor restructures involving two or three positions which may not have a fully documented process. Beyond this, for larger changes, the Managing Change process should be followed. If you are aware that this is not occurring, please contact your local delegate or the Member Support Centre on 1300 772 679 or ">.
We do not believe that Policy and Budget will be the only restructure within the Department, but we have no information on any further changes as yet.
Flexible working arrangements
People Matter Survey results suggest that the availability/take up of flexible working arrangements in Treasury is in the high 80s. However, it was noted that members in some areas are experiencing difficulty in accessing such arrangements. Whilst it remains a conversation between you and your manager, if this affects you please let us know.
Leave records on the system
Members have reported issues with leave balances in the system not being reflective of start dates. We are advising all members to check their balances against their start dates. Management have clarified that if you identify a problem you should raise a ticket with GovConnect. Please be aware that this can take up to two months to be resolved. If the matter is not addressed within this time frame, please escalate to HR and keep your local delegate in the loop.
