Firearms Registry restructure moves to implementation following feedback. Consultation will continue

FR restructure - July 2019 (PDF version)

Since the draft structure and change management documentation were made available to the PSA on 3 July 2019 (as detailed in the most recent bulletin HERE), members have submitted various points of feedback via email and phone, as well as in on-site member meetings.

Interim feedback was collated into an email to the Command on 11 July 2019 and a response to some of these questions was circulated on 16 July 2019.

Based on these responses and ongoing feedback from members, final feedback was submitted formally via a letter on 16 July 2019, available HERE.

The PSA received a response to this feedback yesterday, available HERE.

As indicated in the response, some amendments have been made to the Organisational Structure, which will be distributed by NSW Police shortly.

The Command will advise of relevant changes and how the implementation process will proceed over the coming weeks.

There remain a number of unanswered question (and indeed unpublished Role Descriptions) which the PSA will continue to pursue.

Consultation is an ongoing process and the PSA intends to work constructively in consultation with NSW Police to address concerns and represent member interests as the new structure is rolled out.

Any member with questions or needing individual support with their circumstances can get in touch with the Member Support Centre on 1300 772 679.
