Women of the union unite through training
International Women’s Day (IWD) is coming up in March, and we have a lot to celebrate and reflect upon. Your union has been at the forefront of promoting rights for women in the workplace, with our Women’s Council turning 90 this year.
How will you celebrate IWD this year? Why not do it with us!
Registrations are now open for the Women in the Union course, to be held on Friday 6 March in Sydney.
Learn about the important role women have and can play in building strong unions. Topics include history of women’s participation in the workforce and the union, dealing with workplace sexual harassment, power and assertiveness.
You can register online on our website here. Remember most members have access to 12 days’ PAID trade union training leave every two years.
Content warning: this course contains discussion of sexual harassment and assault. It’s not graphic, but enrol with caution if you think it may affect you.
