Overview of PSA meeting with Transport Management Centre – April 2018 (PDF version)

On Monday 16 April, PSA staff as well as your local PSA representatives met with TMC management to discuss a number of important concerns which have been brought forward by the membership.

Issues discussed during this meeting include:

  • STOC secondments for ICMP and the pay and working conditions that may accompany this move.
  • The decision to add emergency bussing to some STOCs duties.
  • TOR rostering.
  • Deputy duty manager’s rostering.
  • TIO rostering.
  • Issues arising from the installation of the new security door to the TOR.

The meeting was overall very positive from our point of view and gave us the opportunity to bring forward many of the concerns which the membership have had. TMC management agreed to try and resolve a number of our concerns regarding these problems. Key outcomes from this meeting include:

  • Management agreed to have the TfNSW safety team review the issues regarding potential safety hazards with the new TOR door.
  • Management confirmed that the data related to entering/exiting the TOR would not be used for any performance/disciplinary purposes. They confirmed that information was stored securely and would only be used in the event of an emergency to know who is or isn’t in the TOR.
  • Rostering would be looked into further, with a concerted effort made to enable staff to plan further in advance and have less changes to the roster.

Your PSA representatives are due to meet with management on 7 May to discuss these and other issues further.

If you require any further information regarding this meeting, feel free to ask any of your workplace  representatives who attended the meeting as listed below:
