The PSA understands that this is a challenging time for all of you as your areas undergo restructures and organisational changes. We want to assure you the PSA will continue to ensure the Department follows the placement processes and adheres to the Government’s Workforce Mobility Placement Policy to priority-match impacted employees to vacant roles.

In addition, we will ensure the Department implements fair and transparent, industrially compliant, best-practice organisational change processes, and we will continue to support individual members who require assistance.

We have reminded the Department of the importance of clear communication and accessible information to all employees throughout these restructures and organisational changes.

However, members have reported that in some instances, clear communication has not occurred.

In light of these concerns, the PSA invites all DoE Education Support Staff members to attend an information session where:

• Your union representatives will explain the department’s obligation to their employees
• We will clarify the processes the department must adhere to
• Members will be advised of upcoming in-person, hybrid and online member meeting dates that have been scheduled
