In mid-November 2025, the NSW Parliament passed an amended version of the Workers Compensation Legislation Amendment Bill 2025.
The new laws tighten access to compensation for psychological injuries and changing how impairment is assessed. Physical injury arrangements are largely unchanged. The Opposition supported the changes after an 18-month premium freeze/cap was introduced.
