Bulletin – CEI – ongoing concerns

PSA and local delegates met with the Department of Customer Service on 8 May 2020 to continue discussions around staff involved in the Customer Engagement Integration.

Revenue NSW

It was confirmed that Letters of Offer for Revenue staff have been sent out.  These letters contain the previously approved increases to part-time hours.  A short turnaround of 5 days has been given because staff have already been through an assessment and had received verbal offers.

Having said that, if you need to negotiate around your offer (eg you really wanted a different role or you have a RTW plan that will make performing the offered role difficult) a longer timeframe in which to make your decision can be negotiated.  Please contact and advise that this is in relation to call number 127366.

Management have also advised that they are trying to facilitate VRs as efficiently as possible for staff who want them.  If this is your preference, please lodge a ticket with GovConnect for an Estimated Termination Payment.  Check that your start date for employment is correct, confirm leave balances and any breaks in service.  Again if you have issues contact member support and quote call number 127366.

Service NSW

Letters of Offer for Service staff have also gone out.  There are still issues being discussed here.  The timeframe for deciding on the offer is until 21 May.  In the meantime we are continuing to meet with management and work through member concerns.

The Department has committed to providing further information to staff in relation to flexible working practices in the coming days.

You should also talk with local workforce planners and Team Leaders/Managers to ensure that you have an understanding of all available options.

Your union has been providing to management, documentation supplied by members in support of claims that increases to hours have been approved.  We will continue to do that.  The Department is undertaking a review of these claims.  Thank you to members who have supplied information.  We have received in excess of 60 documents which we have examined and have forwarded relevant material to the employer.

There will be further meetings next week.  Regular updates will be provided.
