Machinery of Government (MoG) – Transition to Department of Customer Service (DCS), Purchase Card

The PSA has received communications from GWIC that as part of the MoG transition from the Department of Industry to DCS, that one of the eventual changes will be to implement the DFSI (DCS) Purchase Card policy.

At this time, it is intended that this will come into effect from 1 July 2020.

The PSA has informed GWIC that this issue is currently a matter that is in dispute between the PSA and the Department of Customer Service.

For more information on this matter the current correspondence between the parties is available HERE.

As this is potentially a dispute with public sector-wide implications the PSA is still reviewing the options as to how to proceed and members will be kept informed of any developments.

Workforce review

The PSA is aware there is a current review underway of GWIC. The PSA has been informed that this is at the request of the Commissioners, who have asked for external assistance in planning for the future workforce needs of the Commission.

The review is being conducted by an external consultant and there will be workshops with staff to seek their views on these matters.

Any changes following the review will be done in full consultation with the PSA.
