On Friday 30 April 2021 the PSA was made aware of an upcoming restructure in Capability and Inclusion. This restructure involves significant changes, particularly among staff at the 11/12 level.

The PSA held a meeting with affected members on Wednesday 4 May to discuss the changes and to begin collating feedback from staff. During the meeting, members advised their understanding was that some roles would be advertised externally in stage one. The PSA would have concerns if this information is accurate and is following up as a matter of urgency. It is the PSA’s position that if the capabilities in the new roles are the same, internal applications should occur first.

Your union will be here for all members throughout the process and will be providing feedback on the proposed changes to the Department.

At this stage the PSA would especially like to hear from those in the affected 11/12 positions with feedback on the proposed role changes as well as the likely effects of these changes on other staff. All feedback provided to the PSA is treated with complete anonymity.
