The PSA met with Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) representatives on 17 June 2026 at PSA House to discuss the implications of the decision handed down by Justice Chin in March 2026 in Public Service Association and Professional Officers’ Association Amalgamated Union of New South Wales v State of New South Wales [2026] NSWIC 10.
PSA representatives and Field Officer Delegate Gary Kennedy participated in a productive discussion on the Industrial Court’s decision. The parties agreed to form a working party with Field Officer representatives, the PSA, and CSNSW.
The purpose of the working party will be to examine the practical implementation of the decision and identify any operational, industrial and administrative matters requiring consideration.
