Community Corrections Transfer at Grade update
Community Corrections Transfer at Grade update – November 2016 (PDF version)
The PSA has reviewed the Transfer at Grade application for Community Corrections and notes the broadcast from CSNSW is for an Expression of Interest – those who are interested in a transfer can submit their EOI.
This means the Department is requesting staff interested in transferring may be given the option to do so in the future.
Staff cannot be compelled to complete an EOI, nor can a manager do so on their behalf.
At this stage, there is no indication a staff member will be forcibly transferred pursuant to the provisions in the GSE Rules Part 6 insert GSE Rule 6.
A forced transfer requires consultation with a staff member prior to ensure they are not placed into undue hardship of any kind.
Further the Transferred Employees Compensation Award (TECA) applies for costs incurred.
If any PSA member is being forced to complete an EOI, please contact your delegate or notify your union for action if a local resolution is not possible.
