Community Corrections Workload Focus Groups - Dec 2019 (PDF version)
The PSA has been advocating on your behalf to resolve the significant workload issues in Community Corrections. As a result of discussion with Community Corrections, the Department has established two focus groups with the PSA on Friday, 6 December 2019 to discuss institutional and community workload issues.
The PSA had a focus group teleconference with PSA delegates and focus group participants on 5 December 2019 and settled the following agenda items:
- Staffing levels
- Workload weighting and changes to legislation and policies
- Updating institutional workload model
- Travel and Regional issues including WHS and fatigue
- DV and electronic monitoring
- Unit Leader allocations.
The PSA thanks delegates and members for the feedback and will provide a further report to members at the conclusion of the focus groups.
