Community Services Departmental Committee: Call for nominations to vacant positions
Your Departmental Committee (DC) meets four times per year preceding the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) meetings with management, and at other times as required.
Where members have suggestions, workplace issues or questions you can raise them with your DC Delegates or, if preferred, the Member Support Centre via or 1800 772 679.
PSA Delegates are a point of contact for members when workplace issues arise and are responsible for recruiting new members to the union to build power in the workplace.
Being a PSA Delegate is a good opportunity to represent your colleagues and have your voice heard about issues that affect staff in the Department of Communities and Justice Child Protection and Permanency. With upcoming Award negotiations, it has never been more important to ensure a diverse mix of roles and voices are represented on the DC.
PSA put out a call for nominations to your DC in August of this year, there are currently still 3x vacancies to fill. Each nomination must be seconded by two other members in the same electorate as the nominee.
The vacancies are as follows:
Central West (Bathurst PSA Office)
1 x vacant position
South West (Wagga Wagga PSA Office)
2 x vacant positions
You can nominate via survey monkey HERE.
