Conversion Dispute – Timeframes Extended for conversion

Further to our previous bulletin, there has been an additional appearance in the Industrial Relations Commission in relation to this matter.

TfNSW has confirmed that they are now endeavoring to complete the conversion process in respect of employees covered by the TfNSW Award by 1 October 2024, with employees to be notified some time thereafter. While this timeframe is longer than previously indicated, the matter has been adjourned until the 3 October 2024 to allow this process to continue.

Transport is yet to convert employees covered by the RMS Award, as the parties are still negotiating the interpretation principles for that Award. They anticipate also converting those employees by 1 October 2024, however this timeframe is contingent on when the parties reach agreement on the principles.
