CORRECTIVE SERVICES & YOUTH JUSTICE: COVID-19 UPDATEOur members across Corrective Services are many and they include the POVB, Non-Custodial, Community Corrections, COVB, Governors and those within Henry Deane and other locations across the State.I want to assure you that the PSA is working actively with Corrective Services in relation to COVID-19. As many of you would be aware, Corrective Services have established a Command Post which was outlined in the Commissioner’s update on Monday. Today the Assistant General Secretary, Troy Wright, Industrial Officer, Gino DiCandilo and myself met with Paul O’Reiley the executive director for Youth Justice.What we have been advised is that Youth Justice has implemented COVID-19 Pandemic Plans across detention centres, community offices, court logistics and Head Office and that these Plans follow the NSW Health Guidelines.To all our members in Justice, what is important here is your well-being and I would re-affirm by following the NSW Health Guidelines and that includes regularly washing your hands and use personal protective equipment.We would ask that if you have questions, concerns, to please let us know through your delegates or contact us to ensure that we get answers and that there is clear communication.I also want to stress the importance again that your union, the PSA, is here for all of you.We will continue through Bulletins and emails to update members on this issue.
