COVID 19 exposure at Parliament House

The PSA has been contacted by Parliament House management regarding the presence of a positive COVID case last week.

The PSA can confirm that the Parliament and NSW Health have reviewed the location of the worker, and advised all relevant staff and contacts of the need to isolate. Those staff will be paid to isolate or Work From Home.

We are advised that there were minimal people present on the days in question. Parliamentary Services has also made regular contact with the worker to ensure their welfare and that they know that they will be supported by all the Parliamentary staff and members in their recovery.

As always PSA members are advised to keep on top of communications from Parliamentary Services regarding COVID-19 and your safety, and to bring any hazards or suggestions to improve COVID-19 safety, or any other safety related issues, directly to your employer through the safety notification system or through your union.

The PSA will continue to liaise with Parliament House on COVID related matters.
