CPSU NSW members’ meeting: Ahpra response to feedback
2 June 2026
As you may be aware, last Thursday Ahpra provided a response to our feedback on their second offer. They initially gave us until close of business Friday to reply. We told them we would need to consult with members before we could reply, and they have now given us until close of business this Wednesday 3 June 2026. Our delegates are busy talking to as many members as they can, but these tight timelines make the meeting on Wednesday even more important for members to attend. We will be holding a meeting regarding the offer, and it would be great if you could be there.

Ahpra hasn’t changed its offer. It has indicated some changes it might consider but said that ‘prior to us exploring any amendments’ it needs a commitment from unions that we will support the scrapping of leave loading and concessional days for new employees and that we will support a YES vote. Without even knowing what amendments might be made to the offer we must commit to supporting a YES vote – or Ahpra won’t even explore amendments. Doesn’t sound much like good faith bargaining.
At the meeting on Wednesday we will again conduct a ballot to ask you how we should respond.
We have already received questions from members about Ahpra’s latest position. If you have questions you’d like answered in the presentation on Wednesday we encourage you to send them to
I look forward to seeing you on Wednesday.
