The Cultural Institutions Advisory Group (CIAG) conducted its first meeting on the 16^th of April 2024. The Hon. John Graham MLC was in attendance and discussions were had on how the group can work with the government to advocate on what matters to the cultural sector.

Positions for the Group Committee were elected as follows:

Chair – Lauren Volk, Museum of Applied Arts & Science- Powerhouse Museum

Vice Chair – Nik Reith, Art Gallery of NSW

Secretary – James Ricupito, Art Gallery of NSW

Assistant Secretary – Shauna Miller, State Library of NSW

Women’s Contact Officer – Adria Oliver-Castellucci, State Library of NSW

Aboriginal Officer – Tess Allas, Museums of History NSW

Disability Officer – Trish Leen, State Library of NSW

CALD Officer – Nadiye Cicek, Australian Museum

LGBTQIA+ Officer – Trish Leen, State Library of NSW

Cultural Institution PSA members will be invited to a lunchtime online members drop-in session.

This will be an opportunity for the membership to meet the CIAG members and hear of upcoming plans for 2024.

The PSA congratulates the inaugural Group Committee and thanks all members of the CIAG for their dedication and hard work.
