Department of Customer Service JCC update
JCC Bulletin - Aug 2019 (PDF version)
Your union met with management in relation to the Realignment Joint Consultative Committee on 22 August 2019. The following matters were discussed:
- Revenue NSW – Consultation has not yet commenced as the Secretary has not yet signed off on the proposal. It is expected that consultation will begin in the next couple of weeks.
- There is a win in Lithgow in relation to jobs relocating to Parramatta. Staff were engaged to discuss their roles and it was agreed that a smaller number of the roles would now relocate to BTS (Digital Revenue) but there are some roles which will now stay within the business.
- Office of the Secretary – consultation should begin next month.
- BRD Realignment – Consultation was extended to the full three weeks after representation by your union. The PSA reported back to the RJCC discussions that were had with the additional meeting for the SafeWork NSW Vocational Group.
- As the only information available at this time is the high-level structure there is a difficulty being expressed by many members as to any specific feedback that they can provide. It is widely acknowledged that the next tier of consultation where it becomes clearer where specific areas will lie in the structure will generate more feedback.
- Service NSW – Transition to Corporate Services. There was no further update on progress with the transition of shared services from Service NSW to DCS Corporate Services. The PSA was anticipating by now that the draft process for how staff will be transferred from the Service NSW Salaries and Conditions Employees Award 2018 onto the Crown Employees (Public Sector – Salaries 2019) Award, would have been available.
- There are no RMPS as yet for Digital NSW, BDM or CDT and no update on Service NSW either.
- There has been some repointing in Digital NSW in relation to the CIO and CTO positions, which will now move from Government and Corporate Services into Digital NSW.
The PSA will continue to meet fortnightly with management for the foreseeable future. If you have concerns or questions please raise them in the first instance with your delegates Nicola Christie %20"> and Donna Corbin .
