Department of Justice Digital Technology Services restructure

Department of Justice Digital Technology Services restructure – April 2017 (PDF version)

The PSA met with Justice HR representatives on Monday 3 April to discuss concerns around the DTS restructure.

At this meeting, the Department offered a review process for 7/8 Grade roles, and committed to future recruitment panels comprising of a minimum of 1 DTS delegate at higher grade than the role being filled and 1 Strategic HR representative.

Due to our belief that the entire recruitment process so far has been invalid, the PSA has decided not to accept this offer and will proceed with the dispute in the Industrial Relations Commission, scheduled to be heard at 11am on Tuesday 11 April.

The PSA will be advocating for direct appointments of staff who have missed out on roles, removal of contractors from selection panels, access to written feedback and the halting of the restructure until these pressing concerns have been resolved.

The PSA has been consulting with DTS delegates to obtain a full understanding of all of the issues surrounding the restructure. Further feedback can be sent your DTS delegates or PSA Staff as listed below.

The PSA will promptly advise members of the outcome of the dispute.
