Department of Justice organisational performance and operations division (OPOD) contractors
Contractors/consultants – supervisory roles
At a PSA members’ meeting held at Parramatta Justice Precinct on Wednesday, 18 May 2016, the following motion was passed:
That members impose immediate work bans on reporting to and/or being supervised/managed or directed by consultants/contractors.
The motion was supported unanimously and, as such, the PSA is directing members to adhere to the ban. See letter advising the department about the bans from the PSA General Secretary, Anne Gardiner HERE.
This ban applies to all members employed in the Information Technology and Asset Management Sections under the Organisational Performance and Operations Division (OPOD) of the Justice Department.
All members are encouraged to support this ban. Directions from contractors/consultants should be referred to the Deputy Secretary, Organisational Performance and Operations Division for clarification.
This ban was placed into effect by members to express their opposition to the Department acting contrary to the Crown Employees (Public Service Conditions of Employment) Award and the GSE Legislation.
