Disciplinary allegations as a result of industrial action

Disciplinary Allegations - May 2021 (PDF version)

In April 2021, a large number of our members received a letter alleging misconduct for failing to return to work after being directed by the Industrial Relations Commission and Commissioner to return.

The PSA/POVB responded on behalf of our members by letter, indicating among other issues, that we expect Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) to follow the correct disciplinary procedure as prescribed by the Government Service Employment Act.

CSNSW has now commenced sending out correctly formatted letters of allegation to our members. If you receive one of these letters, please forward it on to .

The POVB industrial team and the PSA legal team will develop a standard response for all of those involved.
