DPI – Pending Move of many Services from Sydney to Parramatta or Newcastle – March 2019 (PDF version)

The PSA is aware that information has gone out from management to staff in the Department of Industry (DOI’s) relating to a future move of many services to either Parramatta or Newcastle. The majority of DOI’s Sydney-based staff will be relocated to an office block in Parramatta. A similar move of surrounding services to an office block in Newcastle is also occurring. This is intended for 2020.

We understand that the Sydney move will include employees moving to Parramatta from Primary Industries, Corporate Service Partners, Lands & Water, Skills & Economic Development, LLS and the Rural Assistance Authority. Those moving to Newcastle include staff from Corporate Service Partners, Skills & Economic Development, Lands and Water, Department of Primary Industries and Local Land Services/SCS.

We are advised that all those who are moving have been informed.

The PSA has been contacted by the Department of Industry in regard to the pending move and we would now like to engage in discussions with them to raise issues on behalf of our members.

To do so effectively we ask you to contact the PSA on 1300 772 679 and let us know of your concerns. When doing so you should quote call number 114250.

We also seek delegates who may wish to attend any meetings with us. We wish to ensure we are able to raise issues from all the varied sites so a delegate will also be a good contact for us to stay in touch with all affected staff. If you are interested.

Please contact PSA Industrial Officer, Nick Player

or PSA Organiser, Graydon Plumridge
