We reported to you all earlier that a dispute had been lodged by the PSA about the impact of the implementation of this system on school administrative staff.
Following conciliation conducted at the Industrial Relations Commission the PSA has met with departmental representatives including the Deputy secretary, Corporate Services to find a resolution to the matter.
These discussions have been constructive and we expect further progress in Term 4. As soon as we have any further we will let you know.
A further report back to the IRC is scheduled for 28 October.
The PSA is campaigning on the theme that SAS Staff are worth 100% – Paid, Protected, Permanent.
In the light of the historic pay rise achieved resulting from our Pay Equity Case we believe we can tick off the “Paid”.
We will now keep working on Protected – your safety at work; and Permanent – long term temporary staff made permanent.
