Fight back against ‘Reclaim Australia’ rally

At its meeting on 13 July 2015, the PSA Central Council passed the following motion:

“That the PSA notes with concern the recent mobilisation of white nationalists and other far right campaigners in capital cities around Australia under the banner of “Reclaim Australia”.

The Association expresses its respect for people of differing racial and religious backgrounds and supports solidarity between workers across the class in our common struggle against the employers.

As such the PSA expresses its support for counter demonstrations by anti-racists in Sydney and other cities this weekend in opposition to the fear and intolerance being spread by “Reclaim Australia”, and affirms its support for a diverse and inclusive society…”

Members are encouraged to attend the counter demonstration in Sydney on Sunday 19 July 2015 from 10.00am at Martin Place.
