Consultation extended for proposed restructure
You may be aware of the proposed merger of two Technology Operations teams within IDS: Service Management and Assurance and IT Customer Services.
After meeting with the PSA, management has agreed to extend the implementation timeframe to consult with the union. Feedback is now open until Friday 13 October. Key proposals include:
- The creation of a new team of 73 roles (IT Customer Services, Service Management and Assurance); single 11/12 role to oversee new team (net reduction of one role)
- Creation of new roles including an additional Service Delivery Manager (9/10), additional Senior Technical Support Officer (7/8), and an Automation Manager (9/10) to promote self-service
- Additional reports for several roles; see detailed proposal HERE.
We’ll be meeting next Tuesday 10 October over lunch to discuss the Tech Ops restructure. Affected staff are encouraged to attend, as the PSA can provide collective feedback to management.

New PSA staff and monthly meetings
Following team changes at the PSA, Lachlan Good (Organiser) and Monika Wunderlin (Industrial Officer) have joined your delegates in representing DCJ Corporate Services members. Lachlan and Monika hope to continue the work of our predecessors Sharon and Greg in building union presence in the division.
Following our August meeting, we’re keen to resume regular monthly meetings every 2nd Tuesday. We’ll circulate a message ahead of each meeting with the agenda, room, and Teams link for those joining remotely. We encourage staff from all Corporate Services teams to join us.
