Vote to affiliate with Australian Council of Trade Unions defeated at Annual Conference
At the Annual Conference, the membership voted for the first time to affiliate with the Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU). Although the vote was defeated, membership voted to instruct the general secretary to report on the viability of affiliation with State associations. The PSA did affiliate with the ACTU in 1965.
