Housing NSW and Aboriginal Housing Office – email broadcast to members

Members are aware Minister Hazzard today announced in the media that FACS is planning to transfer 18,000 housing properties to Community Housing Management, resulting in the loss of 190 jobs from the public service.

Following the media announcement, an urgent teleconference has been arranged with FACS management for this afternoon. At this meeting, the PSA will seek more detailed information and register our deep concerns at the apparent rushed nature and impact of this announcement.

We will provide a more detailed bulletin shortly to report back on this afternoon’s meeting and next steps in our fight against this privatisation.

PSA Organisers are now scheduling visits to consult with and update Housing members on this announcement. To arrange a visit to your workplace contact your Organising team at .
