Dear members,
The PSA has been in lengthy discussions in respect to events surrounding the safety stoppage on 9 June 2019. Following the riot at Frank Baxter facility on 20 July 2019, the PSA has been in extensive discussions at a senior level to resolve the matter that was subject to proceedings in the Industrial Relations Commission (IRC). I can confirm that agreement has been reached as follows:
a) All members previously deducted will be paid and time previously deducted will instead be counted as time worked.
b) On this basis the PSA will have no need to pursue the matter in the IRC.
c) The PSA is committed to working with the NSW Government to establish a safe working environment across all centres.
