Legal Aid bulletin – Taking leave

Legal Aid bulletin taking leave – May 2016 (PDF version)

The PSA recently sent a bulletin to members about their right to choose the timing of their leave. A copy of that bulletin is HERE.
It is important that members are aware that management does not have an unfettered right to direct the taking of leave at a time of management’s choosing.
That is why we continue to encourage members who have or will have 30 days recreation leave accrued by 30 June 2016 and who do not want to take leave prior to this date to submit leave plans.
We note that school holidays are on in early July and the PSA will approach NSW Industrial Relations (NSWIR) about changing their target date for reducing leave balances to 30 days to 31 July 2016.
It would be appreciated if members could notify delegates when plans are submitted and what their intentions are.
