The first meeting of the Enhanced Support Unit (ESU) Working Group was held on the 14th of February. In addition to the PSA, there were a range of stake holders present, including Justice Health, the NSW Children’s Guardian, Department of Family & Community Services, Corrective Services NSW, AbSec and the Department of Education. Future meetings of the working group will be held fortnightly.
In addition to the working group, a project team will be visiting your centre to meet with staff and assess the infrastructure needs for the safe management of high risk detainees.
Juvenile Justice has finalised a workshop schedule and will be advertising the project team visits at each Centre. We encourage members to get involved in the process and consult with your local PSA delegates. This is your opportunity to contribute to ensure that it is done right.

- Acmena JJC 28th February & 1st March 2019
- Reiby JJC 28th February & 1st March 2019
- Frank Baxter JJC 4th to 6th March 2019
- Orana JJC 7th & 8thMarch 2019
- Cobham JJC 11th to 13th March 2019
PSA representatives will be available, where possible, for the workshops. If you are unable to attend any of the meetings, please do not hesitate to speak to your delegates or email your PSA representatives.
