Ministry of Health and PSA Joint Consultative Committee meeting - Public Service Association

Ministry of Health and PSA Joint Consultative Committee meeting

New JCC - Oct 2020 (PDF version)

As we get closer to Christmas and the end of a very full year, the PSA met again with Ministry of Health (MoH) to discuss key concerns and issues that have been raised by members.

We will be having one more Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) with Workplace Relations in December, then we hope that members get a chance to relax and enjoy time with family and friends.

If you have any concerns, please speak with your Delegates or contact the PSA on 1300 772 679.

New Ways to Work – 1 Reserve Road

All MoH staff have now moved into 1 Reserve Road and your welcome email contains a lot of important information so please save it for later reference. The PSA has also been advised that there is “Building Etiquette” information on the Mintranet. The Ministry advised that most individual requirements and adjustments have been finalised with the remainder that have been identified in progress. If there is anyone still requiring assistance, then please speak to your administrative staff to raise a SARA request.

Soon you will see our new PSA notice boards in the north eastern print rooms of each floor. Make sure you check them regularly to keep up to date with PSA information.

Work Health and Safety information will be displayed on the digital screens around building.

MoH JCC

The PSA raised the Christmas period and asked the Ministry to confirm dates and leave options. Shut down will align with Premier’s Memorandum and will be communicated by MoH soon. Discussions are currently being held and further information is to come relating to working over what is being called the “low activity period”.

We have requested that any leave requests be managed within a reasonable timeframe, to allow members to book holidays and plan.

And the PSA is requesting a review of the Stafflink leave descriptors, as the current drop-down list does not fit with your Award. This is a work in progress and we will update members on any developments.

Do you know someone who still needs to join the PSA?

You can support the work of the PSA and delegates to get better outcomes for everyone just by asking your colleagues to join the PSA at www.psa.asn.au/join
