Motor Registry Network – Worksite meetings
Motor Registry Network – Worksite Meetings Bulletin 9 July 2014 (PDF version)
The Chief Executive of RMS announced on the 15 May 2014 the next phase of the Motor Registry Network in which they would convert into the new multi government One Stop Shop as operated by Service NSW.
The first eight motor registry locations to be effected by the One Stop Shop to include:
Hurstville | Blacktown | Bondi Junction
Ryde | Maitland | Albury | |||
Armidale | North Sydney |
RMS further advised that recruitment for staff at these locations was to be based on a similar process as Tranche 1.
The PSA was greatly concerned by this announcement and the impact this would have on our members, and as such we sought the assistance of the Industrial Relations Commission of NSW.
The PSA appeared before Commissioner Tabbaa on 2 July 2014, stating that the recruitment process as proposed by RMS was unnecessary and current Motor Registry staff should be directly appointed into the roles within Service NSW.
We also sought further information including organisational charts, the number of positions and working arrangements for staff.
This matter remains before the IRC with a report back set for 15 July 2014.
The PSA will be attending the following work sites on Thursday 10 and Friday 11 July 2014:
Ryde | Bondi Junction | North Sydney | Hurstville
Blacktown | Maitland | Albury | Armidale |
All members are encouraged to attend and have your say.
Subject to change an update will be provided prior to the meeting.
