Welcome back to work and a busy 2019. This will be a big year for the Powerhouse Museum and, as a PSA member you can be confident your union will be supporting you with regard to all the issues and changes that may present during the year.

PSA Membership

Do you have any new starters in your team, branch or the MAAS in general? Members should be aware that your union does attend the induction sessions for new staff at MAAS, but it would be great if you a PSA member could encourage non-members to join. New members can join online HERE or email this bulletin to them and they can join.

The PSA covers all employees of the MAAS and as well our coverage includes ongoing and temporary employees and agency staff, so why not encourage those new staff to join today as well come to our regular PSA Union Member Meetings.

FIRST MEMBERS MEETING FOR 2019

As you are aware the PSA has regular Members’ meetings at the Powerhouse and Sydney Observatory with regular visits to the MDC by PSA Organiser Davis Murphy.

The first meeting for 2019 has been scheduled for:

  • Wednesday 13 February 2019

A separate meeting notice will be sent to all members with time and location. We also want to hear from you, and if you have any agenda items

PSA/MAAS JOINT CONULTATIVE COMMITTEE MEETING (JCC)

The first JCC for MAAS is scheduled for”

  • Thursday 21 February 2019

This consultative meeting is held on a quarterly basis where issues affecting MAAS are discussed. The PSA Senior Industrial Officer attends these meetings with your PSA Delegates, Damian McDonald, Dimity Holt and Nathan Farrow.

PSA notice boards

There are now four PSA Notice Boards installed at the MAAS for members information, these notice boards are located at:-

  • PHM Site – Harwood building, Curatorial café staff break area, Museum L 5 staff break area
  • Observatory Site – Staff break area/kitchen
  • MDC Site – Staff break area/kitchen
