New SASS Award Made Locking in 19% – 35.85% Increases
On Friday 13 September the PSA’s legal team attended The NSW Industrial Relations Commission (IRC) to report the outcome of the vote and finalise the new Award. 98.75 per cent of PSA SAS Staff members voted to ACCEPT the pay equity package in a historic win for pay equity in NSW.
Unusually, the Full Bench of the NSW IRC made the Award on the day of hearing. The Award will be uploaded to the PSA website next week for members to access we will advise when it is available.
Congratulations to all members for your contribution to your union. It is only because of you that we were able to run this case.
PSA Organisers Visiting Schools
PSA Organisers from across the union will be dropping in to schools over the next week to provide information packs to SAS Staff. They will be able to take any queries away with them for the PSA Schools Team to respond to.
