Over the last few months, CSNSW have unfortunately had several members pass away.  We send our condolences to both their family and their friends in the workplace.

During this time, it has become apparent that members are not updating their beneficiary details when their circumstances change.

When a member of the PSA passes, their beneficiary is entitled to $4000.  Furthermore, when a member of the POVB Legal fund passes, their beneficiary can receive up to a further $5,000 to assist them through a very difficult and emotional time.

We encourage all members to verify their beneficiary details with the Member Support Centre by calling 1300 772 679. If you need to change or include a beneficiary, then complete this form HERE. By having this updated will ensure that your family or nominated beneficial gets the money in a timely manner.  If your beneficiary details are not up to date it can result in a delayed payment as the trustees are legally bound to pay the person on the current form, or if not nominated will be your spouse, next of kin or other appropriate person as determined by the Provident Fund Trustees.

It has also come to our attention that many members do not have a will.  Members are entitled to free basic will completed by McNally Jones Staff. To access this opportunity, please contact McNally Jones Staff direct on 9233 4744 and quote your PSA membership number.
