POVB Bulletin – Industrial update to members – 9 July 2015 (PDF version)

Yesterday, 8 July 2015, General Managers and others received a briefing from the Commissioner of Corrective Services, Peter Severin.

As always, rumours around what this briefing contained have begun to circulate throughout Corrective Services NSW.

The PSA has received a request to meet with the Commissioner on Friday, 10 July 2015.

This invitation included a request that the Chairperson from each Vocational Branch and Workplace Group along with representatives of NSW Teachers Federation also attend.

It is not possible to advise at this point what this meeting may pertain to as the Department has declined to foreshadow the purpose.

Following Friday’s meeting, each of the groups will discuss the issues raised with their individual Executive and, as a collective, including the PSA Industrial staff, we will provide as comprehensive a report to members as soon as possible.
