The POVB Executive would like to wish all our members a very merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and safe New Year.

This year has been particularly difficult for our members with the second wave of COVID, the mouse plague in Wellington, disturbances and a rise in assaults on staff.

We have done our work professionally, got on with the job and supported each other through the year.

The POVB works astoundingly well under pressure and this has not gone unnoticed by our previous Minister.

The POVB had a vacancy on the Executive and the Delegates to Management last week elected Thor Sutherland to the role of Country Vice Chairperson. We welcome him to the team.

For the staff who are working over the Christmas period, please be safe and we hope that you get to spend some time with your loved ones and friends. During the Christmas period PSA will be on reduced staffing. The Member Support Centre will be taking calls but if anyone needs anything Chairperson Nicole Jess will be working through the Christmas and New Year period.
