PSA/CPSU NSW Retired Associates: December update

At our December meeting we discussed plans for the coming year, including our commitment to being a more issue-based and active group.

President Nicole Jess gave an update which included reference to the upcoming March 2023 State Election and discussion about current industrial challenges.

Kym Ward, Manager of Member Services and Governance, gave an update about the added benefits of being a member of the Retired Associates.  Kym confirmed the following benefits are available:

  • Provident Fund ($4000): up to the age of 70
  • Foundation House (rehabilitation service for alcohol, drugs and gambling) available to an immediate family member who resides with the Retired Associate
  • Gidget Foundation: 10 free counselling sessions following GP referral for prenatal and postnatal care of a family member who resides with the Retired Associate
  • Welfare Rights Centre for members having issues with Centrelink or similar agencies

  • Citizen Watches

The first meeting for 2023 will be held on Tuesday, 13 February 2022. Central Council will also be meeting on this date at a venue in western Sydney. Details of the time and venue will be provided nearer to the date.
