PSA secures 2.5 per cent pay rise!
Despite the decision by the NSW Government to try and freeze the pay of hundreds of thousands of public servants, the PSA was last year successful in award negotiations in being able to secure a 2.5 per cent pay increase for its members in Roads and Maritime Services. This increase will come into effect in the first full pay cycle in the new financial year. That is, that the entire pay period falls within the new financial year. For RMS employees this will most likely mean that the increase will come into effect on the pay day 23 July 2020.
The Government has committed to attempting to implement the pay freeze next year for those workers who received a pay rise this year. This means there is never a more important time to JOIN and engage with your union, as we will continue to fight to protect your employment conditions and deliver fair pay rises for our members.
If you are having any issues with your pay and do not receive the pay rise, please contact the PSA on 1300 772 679.
