PSA SSO Update – Easter Concession and SSO Members Meeting

Easter Concession

The PSA advises SSO members that you are covered by the NSW Department of Education’s Flexible Working Hours Agreement.

Clause 16 states the following:

  1. Easter concession

16.1 Employees working flexible working hours under this Agreement may be granted, subject to operational requirements, an additional half day flex leave on the Thursday preceding the Good Friday public holiday.

16.2 Employees who wish to take the additional half day flex leave on the Thursday preceding the Good Friday public holiday must work a minimum of three and a half hours on that day.

16.3 Employees may be granted the additional half day flex leave on another occasion within the applicable settlement period if they apply for the half day flex leave but are required to work on the afternoon of Easter Thursday

The Public Sector Needs a Pay Rise: PSA 2022 Wages Claim

The PSA recognises the hard work and dedication that our members bring to the public sector. You deserve a decent pay-rise to stay afloat with the ever-rising cost of living.

The PSA is campaigning for a minimum pay-rise of 3.6 per cent, with any increase to superannuation paid on top of that and pay superannuation on the unpaid portion of the first 12 months of parental leave. The current NSW Liberal-National Government’s unfair Public Sector Wages Policy cap of 2.5 per cent must be scrapped.

To learn more about the campaign and to sign the petition and write to your MP go to www.psa.asn.au.
