PSA Youth Network Launch – Join us for Politics in the Pub

It’s been a while (thanks COVID) – but we’re back.

We’re reviving the PSA Youth Network, to connect PSA members and public service professionals under 35.

As young workers, we’re facing the most serious cost of living crisis in decades, compounded by mounting inequality and insecurity at work. The PSA Youth Network is a space for young professionals to contribute to a stronger union and a more secure future.

You’re invited to our launch event, a Politics in the Pub panel and social, which will be held at the Royal Exhibition Hotel on Thursday 5th October 2023. Refreshments will be provided, and the drinks are on us. We also have some fantastic speakers lined up:

  • Rose Jackson, Minister for Youth and Housing
  • Amanda Cohn, Greens Spokesperson for Youth
  • Alex Greenwich, Member for Sydney
  • Phillipa Collin, Co-Director – Young and Resilient Research Centre, WSU

We’ll hear from the panel on some of the issues facing young workers, including the housing crisis. Following a panel discussion, speakers will take questions from PSA members.

WHEN: Thursday 5 October 2023 – 6:15pm for a 6.30pm start

WHERE: Royal Exhibition Hotel, Surry Hills (Opposite Central Station)

HOW: RSVP HEREtickets are free for PSA members, and refreshments will be provided

If you would like to submit a question for the panel, or have any dietary requirements, you can do so on the RSVP form above.

There are also social media groups for us to get to know each other before and after the event – We are on LinkedIn HERE and Facebook HERE.

Yours in union,

PSA Youth Network
