Public Service Commission: Vaccination policy update

Employees in the Public Service Commission (PSC) have now been directed to undertake and demonstrate that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is now a PSC condition of employment, the policy can be viewed HERE and via your intranet.

Following consultation with your delegates, your union provided feedback on the Public Service Commission’s Draft COVID Vaccination Policy during the consultation period. You can read the feedback HERE.

The PSA’s feedback included a request to reconsider the gathering of personal vaccination information. Your Industrial Officer suggested the sighting of COVID-19 vaccination certificates would reduce data collection and minimise privacy risks. The PSC has taken this on and adjusted its policy.

PSA members who have concerns they may not be able to comply with this direction are advised to speak to their doctor and engage with People & Culture as soon as possible. We also ask that you notify the PSA so we can assist in navigating this process.

We will also be calling for new Delegates in PSC in the new year. The PSA has a range of training available for those considering taking on the role of workplace delegate. If you share our passion for improving the lives of working people please contact your Organiser Amy Lennox on to further discuss.
