It’s nearly that time of year again where the PSA encourages the school community to celebrate its vitally important support staff and wellbeing professionals.
The theme for Recognition Week this year is Thriving Schools Start with Us and will run from 31 August to 4 September 2026.
This year more than ever your General Assistants, administrative staff working in the office, those working in science, the library, technology and applied sciences, those working in the classroom and supporting the wellbeing of students have gone above and beyond.
We encourage all Principals to plan an event or activity to thank them for the work they do and their contribution to the school community. This year the PSA is launching an online resources pack to promote PSA Schools Recognition Week. Our organisers will be out visiting schools and will be bringing PSA campaign merchandise for members.
Linked below is a letter from the PSA General Secretary Stewart Little to you and one addressed to the P&C. We have also included a handy flyer with some suggestions that schools have found successful during PSA Schools Recognition Week in the past, and the PSA poster.
